The Headteacher and Governors are looking for an outstanding, dedicated and committed primary classroom practitioner to join our growing and successful village primary school from September 2025. This position is in Year 5/6 and is suitable for an ECT or experienced teacher and may include a subject leadership role dependent on candidate.

St Peter’s Brafferton CE VA Primary School is a small school with a big heart and has strong Christian values, enthusiastic children, committed staff, dedicated governors and supportive parents. 

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Can plan and deliver inspirational lessons to individual groups and classes based upon sound curriculum knowledge
• Effectively identifies and addresses gaps in children’s learning

• Can take on subject leadership in areas of the curriculum
• Monitors, assesses and builds on children’s progress effectively
• Has a ‘can do’ mentality with a desire to overcome any challenges that arise
• Is a team player with great communication and inter-personal skills
• Is committed to professional development and has high expectations of your own practice
• Is prepared to support the Christian ethos of our school
• Most importantly, is willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for our children and school community.
