Midday Supervisory Assistant

Contract: Permanent
Hours/ Working Pattern: 1 hour a day (12.35pm to 1.35pm), 5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, term time only
Salary/ Hourly Rate: Grade B, £12.26 per hour

We have two school sites, Whitby School which houses key stages 3 & 4, and less than a mile away is our Whitby Sixth Form site.

Our Opportunity

We are looking for two midday supervisory assistants to join our team. You will ensure that our pupils safely enjoy their lunchtime break.

This part time role is ideal to balance alongside other commitments, to test the waters of a career working the children and young people, or to help develop experience towards your goal of becoming a teaching assistant.

You will:

  • Hold English and Maths GCSE level ‘C’ equivalent
  • Have awareness of health and hygiene issues
  • Experience appropriate to working with children
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Be able to demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written
