Going through the recruitment process, I was really well informed with vacancies and the staff at North Yorkshire were absolutely brilliant. Day or night they would keep me updated with applications or give me pointers for interviews, at an uncertain time they made me feel at ease. Thanks to them I successfully landed a teacher position at Overdale School.

Overdale is just like a big family, initially I had heard so many great reviews from parents and staff and that is what attracted me to apply for the position. At my interview, you could feel how supportive and close the children and staff were it felt and is such a lovely place to work. Rob the headteacher is our biggest cheerleader he listens to our ideas and lets us work as a team to get the very best for our children.

My proudest moments at Overdale have been hearing how appreciative and happy parents are at having their children in my class. Overdale was my first time teaching in KS1 so it was a big change for me as a teacher but I feel so supported with the team around me and the children are genuinely happy to be at school. I am so glad that I applied as this is a real happy place.
