The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a passionate, motivated and inspirational classroom practitioner to join our welcoming, dedicated and friendly team from September 2026.

This position is in EYFS (Reception). Hemingbrough Community Primary School is a small school with a big heart and has enthusiastic children, committed staff as well as supportive governors and parents. The school is situated in a quiet village with a strong sense of community.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has experience in working within Reception year.
  • Would be committed to promoting our school drivers: Community; Aspiration; Resilience and Empathy.
  • Can create a stimulating and exciting learning environment.
  • Is committed to providing a high-quality education both academically and pastorally.
  • Can work as a team to continue to drive school improvement.
  • Can plan and deliver creative lessons to individual groups and classes based upon sound curriculum knowledge
  • Monitors, assesses and builds on children’s progress effectively
  • Is committed to professional development and has high expectations of your own practice
  • Is able to take a subject leadership role
