Are you an ECT looking for a supportive role that offers training, mentorship, and the opportunity to further develop your early years skills?
About us
Located at the foot of two wooded moorland valleys, Hackness Church of England Primary offers quaint countryside charm. We are a smaller school with a total of 58 pupils divided into three classes, aptly named Willow, Beech, and Sycamore: keeping in with our Forest School passion.
We believe all our children should have access to the outdoors as part of their development, fostering a relationship between the environment and learning. This is also a great opportunity to step out of the classroom for a change of scenery! You can see examples of our outdoor activities on our website, such as creating roman numerals from sticks.
Hackness works closely with its sister school, Wykeham, as part of the Hackness & Wykeham Church of England School’s Federation. This collaborative approach mirrors our values: as a smaller school with a strong focus on care and support, we benefit from working together. This partnership enables our EYFS, KS1, and KS2 teachers to share workloads, exchange curriculum ideas, and implement best practices. Our smaller-than-average class sizes, along with the dedicated support from staff, governors, families, and the community, further enhance the educational experience we provide.
