We are looking for an efficient, reliable and experienced School Administrator to join our friendly and hard-working village school team. You will be responsible for the smooth running and efficient organisation of the school office and for creating a welcoming and professional first impression when people contact or visit the school. You will work closely with staff, parents, families and the Headteacher and be expected to be able to work on your own initiative and form positive relationships quickly, whilst maintaining appropriate confidentiality and working within school policy and procedure.
Our school office is a busy place and good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. At Dishforth CE Primary School we are committed to Safeguarding and you would receive training at induction and throughout employment at the school. We expect all staff to share this commitment.

Experience of school administration is desirable but not essential for the right candidate. However, previous clerical or administration experience will be vital to the success of the role.

Responsibilities would include:
- Meeting and greeting and liaising with parents, pupils and visitors to the school
- Being responsible for checking visitors into the school in line with Safeguarding procedures
- Being a qualified First Aider or be willing to undertake first aid training
- Having confidence and competence across a range of ICT systems - a good working knowledge of Scholar Pack and Parent Pay is desirable (although training will be given)
- Undertaking typing and word-processing (including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office)
- Providing administrative and organisational support to the Head teacher
- Booking transport and make arrangements for educational visits
- Contributing to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
- Establishing constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals
- Providing routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, complete routine forms, distributing mail
- Maintaining manual and computerised records/management information systems including the Single Central Record Ordering stock and resources
- Working closely with the school Bursar, handling banking, receipts and invoice
