Parish Church Primary School is a friendly, warm and welcoming school in the heart of the historic market town of Skipton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. As a Church of England school, within the Diocese of Leeds, we have a Christian distinctiveness, underpinned by our vision and values. We are part of the Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust, where everyone is valued and respected, where we share commitment to education that is ambitious, setting the highest expectations and where integrity is the foundation.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner and we are flexible as to where in school you will work depending upon your expertise. We welcome applications from all the primary phases including EYFS, across the experience range. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative practitioner to join the team as our school continues to go from strength to strength. No two days are the same at Parish, so you will need to be adaptable, resilient and promote a growth mindset.
As one of our team you will:
- Support the Christian ethos of our Church school.
- Model and disseminate high quality teaching pedagogy and practice, to ensure that children leave school with the best possible outcomes.
- Have a dynamic and innovative approach that inspires and supports children to become lifelong, independent learners.
- Be ambitious, inspirational, motivated and a team player with excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
In return, we offer you:
- A happy working environment, which promotes work-life balance.
- Professional development opportunities.
- A strong and inclusive Christian ethos.
- A forward looking, diverse school.
- A dedicated, friendly, positive and supportive staffing team.
- An innovative approach to learning and the curriculum.
- Strong school leadership.
Informal visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged and should be arranged by calling Helen Large (School Business Manager) on 01756 793314.
Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and young people. We have a robust Child Protection Policy and all staff will receive training relevant to their role at induction and throughout employment with the Trust. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service criminal records check for work with children.
