Brompton Hall School is based within private grounds in the pretty village of Brompton-by-Sawdon and is a Special Education School for pupils aged between 8 and 16 years, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

This role is ideal for those looking to make a real difference to the lives of children with complex needs.
This role is wonderfully varied, you will be based both within and outside of the classroom. You will be required to use your initiative, and work with small groups, as well as at times be within the full class.
You will support and contribute to the lesson plans created by the teacher, using your skills and knowledge of our pupils to ensure customised learning can be delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure pupil welfare and safety
- Deliver targeted interventions and use ICT to enhance learning
- Lead out-of-school activities and supervise students
- Manage resources and adapt strategies
- Provide clear feedback and assist with planning
- Support behaviour plans and safeguarding
- Encourage pupil engagement and independence
- Attend meetings, follow policies, and contribute to school success
The successful applicant will have:
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is essential
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Understanding of National Curriculum, and other codes of practice eg SEN, Equalities
- GCSE English and maths Grade A-C (or equivalent – eg Certificate in Adult Literacy / Numeracy Level 2)
- The ability to build strong relationships with children, motivating and developing them
- A passion for seeing young people succeed
