Midday Supervisor
Location: Barrowcliff School, Ash Grove, Scarborough, YO12 6NJ
Grade: A/B Scp 2
Actual Salary: £3,575 per year
Vacancy Hours: 6¼ hours per week, 12:00pm – 1.15pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
We are looking for a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team at Barrowcliff School. This role is essential in ensuring our pupils enjoy a safe, happy, and well managed lunchtime experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising children during lunch in the dining hall and playground
- Encouraging positive behaviour and good manners
- Supporting children with meals and social interaction
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
- Administering basic first aid
- Reporting any concerns to senior staff
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a warm, caring, and patient approach when interacting with children
- Has experience working with children (desirable)
- Can work well in a team
- Has good communication and observation skills
- Is reliable and punctual
- Can demonstrate resilience and a calm, positive approach when working with children who may display challenging behaviour, ensuring situations are managed safely and respectfully.
