General Teaching Assistant (SEND)/ Midday Supervisory Assistant

Salary: £23,656-£25,183 pro rata per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: GTA with SEND 27.92 hours MSA 2.5 hours

We require an outstanding and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working team, a willingness to work across school will be desired. The combined post is 30.42 hours per week, working under the direction of the class teachers. Working day 8.30am -3.05pm. Send experience would be desirable but not essential for this post. Athelstan School is a friendly, warm and welcoming school, there is a strong family and inclusive ethos, where teamwork is highly valued and the role of the individual within the team is respected. Candidates should be committed to following a creative, child centred approach to teaching and learning and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You would work alongside established motivated and supportive colleagues.

Candidates should have:

  • An understanding of and commitment to the provision of good quality childcare
  • Send Experience ,desirable
  • An understanding of food hygiene rules
  • Health & safety knowledge, including lifting and handling and fire prevention
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Knowledge of healthy eating

The successful applicant will have a level 3 child care qualification and have a desire to work within early years. We are committed to inclusion.
