Admin Support Assistant

Salary: £25,620 pro rata per annum
Grade: AB
Contract: Permanent – Term Time Only
Hours: 14 hours per week
Location: Sherburn-in-Elmet, North Yorkshire, Athelstan Community Primary School
Start Date: Required from September 2026


We are looking to appoint an administrative support assistant who will work to support our class teachers with administrative and display tasks working Monday to Friday. The role will also require some flexibility to work alongside the established school admin team, providing support and cover as required.

This can be an extremely busy position, and the successful candidate must be hardworking, energetic and reliable. The ideal candidate will have a creative flare, be enthusiastic and committed to becoming a valued member of our friendly team.

The role will involve working under the direction of the class teacher and school business manager. The successful candidate should be creative and have excellent communication skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office. The hours will be spilt over 5 afternoons, though there is some degree of flexibility for the right candidate.

The role will involve:

  • Assisting class teachers to organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources.
  • Providing interactive learning displays as required by teaching staff.
  • Using ICT to support learning environment and enhance visual displays around school
  • Supporting displays around the whole of school including planning, producing and maintaining all display areas.
  • photocopying for teaching staff
  • General office duties when cover is required in either the main or Early Years admin offices We are looking for someone who is
