Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust

Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Salary: £37,101 - £47,472 per annum pro rata
Grade: Main scale M3—UP1 plus SENDCo payment
Contract: Maternity Leave Cover starting May/June 2026 until February 2027
Hours: 3 days at week, non-teaching position. Flexible working available.
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire

This is a standout opportunity for a SENDCo looking to make a significant impact within a supportive, highly organised environment. We are seeking a dedicated SENDCo to join our Senior Leadership Team on a maternity cover basis, working three days a week across our four school federation.

Our established SENDCo has worked tirelessly to ensure that SEN and Inclusion are genuine strengths across our Federation, meaning you will inherit robust systems and successful practices from day one. To ensure you feel confident and prepared, we are offering a full induction period with our current SENDCo before the role begins, allowing for a seamless transition.

The role is entirely non-teaching, allowing you to focus your energy on strategic leadership and the individual needs of our 340 pupils. While you will be moving between our four sites, they are conveniently located within a 10-minute drive of one another. Furthermore, we understand the importance of work-life balance; the three-day commitment can be worked flexibly to suit both your schedule and the needs of the school.

You will never be working in isolation. Following your handover, you will be part of a collaborative network of leaders, supported by the Trust SENDCo and the Federation Senior Leadership Team. We are as committed to your professional evolution as we are to our pupils’ success, and you can expect bespoke professional development tailored specifically to your career journey.

If you have the talent, the expertise, and the heart to champion inclusion within our schools, we would love to meet you. We believe our environment speaks for itself and warmly welcome visits from prospective candidates. Please contact the school office (01757 270282) to arrange a visit and see first hand the community you could be joining.

It is preferable, but not essential, that applicants hold the SENDCo qualification. All applicants must be willing to engage in continuous CPD.

3 days a week, part-time, maternity leave contract, Flexible start date between 4th May and 1st June 2026.

Completed application forms should be posted to: Suzanne Keeler, Chapel Haddlesey Church of England Primary School, Millfield Lane, Chapel Haddlesey, Selby YO8 8QF or ideally emailed to office.chapel@wrfed.pmat.academy.
