Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child's educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to provide support for a child with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping a child thrive within our school environment.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll be instrumental in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of a child. Your work will directly contribute to their progress and wellbeing, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing tailored one-to-one support to a child with an EHCP
  • Assisting with the implementation of the child's EHCP, adapting learning materials and activities as needed.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to monitor progress and contribute to reviews.
  • Supporting the child's social and emotional development, fostering independence and positive relationships.
  • Helping to manage behaviour and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding, with a genuine desire to help children succeed.
  • A strong communicator, able to work effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning Support, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if you have strong relevant experience.

If you are a compassionate individual with a commitment to inclusive education, we encourage you to apply! This role offers a unique chance to have a profound impact on a child's life.
