Filey Junior School is seeking an inspirational Headteacher to lead our learning community. Our school is one of innovation and creativity, best captured by our vision statement:

We are now looking for a leader who can retain the unique approach we have developed but bring a passion and drive to put their own, personal stamp upon the school.

The Role

As Headteacher, you will:

·       Provide strategic leadership and a clear vision for the school.

·       Ensure very high standards of teaching and learning across the school and across the curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive school culture where everyone feels valued and respected.

·       Work collaboratively with staff, parents, governors, and the wider community.

·       Manage the school's resources effectively and ensure financial sustainability.

·       Be a positive role-model for teachers, parents and pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

·       Will be an experienced and successful school leader with a proven track record of raising standards. Will have a deep understanding of the Primary Curriculum and assessment procedures.

·       Will be passionate about education and committed to providing the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

·       Will have a good understanding and an empathy for children with barriers to their learning or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

·       Will have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
