General Teaching Assistant

The post will be in a class of 11 pupils, to support learning on group basis or within the classroom.
Requirements for the Role:
An enthusiastic individual ideally who is looking to develop a career as a Teaching Assistant (with at least a Level 2 in Education Support or similar and Maths and English qualifications). Or someone with aspirations to begin a PGCE/Teacher training in 2025.
We are looking for a committed individual who can support the teaching and learning of pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
• engage and motivate children to learn;
• be committed to children’s welfare and safeguarding;
• have a fair, positive and calm approach to ensuring pupils meet high expectations of good behaviour;
• have good standards of maths and English;
• are cheerful, positive and adaptable; To be able to support the values and ethos of the school
• contribute to, and work collaboratively within, our positive, caring and welcoming team
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people. An enhanced DBS is required to this post.
