Here at Wheatcroft Community Primary we share a special and unique learning community with friendly and welcoming children, staff and governors, and we are proud to serve the town of Scarborough. Our learning environment enables us to offer a tailored curriculum to our children, is second to none and we are excited to share and further develop our excellent provision for our staff and children.

The post will include working with a wide range of different pupils and offering caring, innovative and specialised provision at different times during the school day. The successful candidate will play an integral part in ensuring children’s lunchtimes and after school hours are well supported and that pupils learn, achieve and succeed in their primary education here at Wheatcroft.

Wheaties, our after school wraparound care club has been established for over 10 years and is a very popular resource. It successfully provides care for approximately 25 pupils each afternoon. The postholder would be expected to provide a caring, secure environment for the children, with at least one another member of staff; assist in organising an appropriate range of interesting and stimulating indoor and outdoor play activities for children between the ages of 4-11; develop good personal, social and emotional skills of the children. There is minor food preparation and a food hygiene certificate is required for which online training can be accessed.
