There are many different career options available in Local Government across the County. Local Authorities provide a wide range of public services to people across North Yorkshire and are committed to making a difference to the lives of residents.  

North Yorkshire Council is one of the county’s largest employers, offering many diverse opportunities including careers in ICT, finance, social care, human resources and many more. We are committed to providing our employees with continual training and development opportunities. 

From April 2023, all district and borough councils across North Yorkshire will merge to form one new council. This will increase the variety of career opportunities we can offer as one single employer. You can find out more about working for the new Council on our website.
