Salary/ Hourly Rate: MPS 3, £33,814 per annum full time equivalent

Our Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced teacher to join our Wykeham teaching team. You will be working in our wonderful Year 3 & 4 mixed-age pupil class.
On Wednesday afternoons you will participate in PPA and our weekly staff meeting to get you ready for full days of teaching on Thursday and Friday.
Wykeham is a smaller school with approximately 65 pupils and 3 classes “Acorns, Saplings & Oaks” matching the Forest School ethos. You will be joining a teaching team of 3 teachers and 3 teaching assistants, supported by our Headteacher and Deputy Head.

Located in the village of Wykeham on the North Yorkshire moors just 6 miles from Scarborough, the school offers quaint countryside charm. Wykeham works closely with its partner school, Hackness, as part of the Hackness & Wykeham Church of England School’s Federation. This collaborative, supportive structure reflects our attitudes, we are a smaller school with a caring, supportive ethic.
Wykeham is a Forest School, we utilise our large outdoor area as well as local parks. We believe all our children should have access to the outdoors as part of their development, fostering a relationship between the environment and learning. This is also a great opportunity to step out of the classroom for a change of scenery! You can see examples of our outdoor activities on our website, such as creating Roman numerals from sticks.
Our Requirement
We are looking for an experienced primary school teacher who relishes a role where no two days are the same. You will need strong collaboration, team working, and communication skills to share lesson planning and other duties with your fellow Y3 / 4 Class Teacher.
