About Align Property Partners
Align Property Partners hold a unique position of strength in the building design sector; our multi-disciplinary consultancy enables us to deliver total design solutions for our clients providing competitive advantage over single design firms, our size enables us to deliver agile, efficient services driving client value providing financial competitive advantage over the large national design firms.
We provide a wide ranging multi-disciplinary building design consultancy, consisting of Architects, Building Surveyors, Project Managers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Structural / Civil Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Property Advisors, CDM and Fire Advisors. Our focus is to provide services to both the Private and Public sector clients throughout the North of England.
Based in five offices across the North of England, our award winning, integrated multi-disciplinary team has over a decade of experience in delivering a wide range of building projects across many sectors including, Infrastructure, Housing, Education, Industrial and public buildings.

To continue to realise our ambition, we are now seeking a number of passionate, driven and commercially minded individual’s to join our dedicated team of likeminded professionals. The majority of these roles will sit within the our established Estates, Quantity Surveying and Civils teams where these new team members will be key in continuing Align Property Partners development into our existing markets. However, there will be a new opportunity for a Green Energy or Low Carbon Engineer to be the lead in taking Align Property Partners into this new and exciting sector. To be successful in this position, you will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with substantial experience working in this field.
- A proven track record in the application, principles, theory and practice of the specialist area of responsibility such as UK standards, adoptable standards and guidelines and specifications relating to the area of expertise
- Substantial experience within an engineering consultancy or highway management organisation
- A sound knowledge and experience of managing construction contracts in the roles of NEC Project Manager and NEC Supervisor preferably qualified with NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation
- The ability to lead and direct early career staff or oversee packages of work
It would also be desirable to have gained Professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards this status.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning of project work and resourcing of the infrastructure team. You will prepare technical drawing from data you collate from conducting surveys and complete health and safety checks and risk assessments associated with location surveys. With your expertise, you will support the wider team and provide technical support and regularly provide updates to senior stakeholders of any important and relevant service and design decisions.

You will play a vital part in supporting the team as we continue to grow.
In this role you will share your knowledge of Auto Cad (or similar software) to provide technical support on data collection and analysis, and technical surveys and analysis to the wider team. You will have the opportunity to deliver efficient and cost-effective projects contributing to the delivery of Highways projects from the start through to completion.
You will advise other members of the team on engineering principles as well as working collaboratively with members of our multi disciple workforce and clients. If you have worked in a design consultancy environment previously, this will give you a real advantage.

- Knowledge in design, specification and delivery of highway projects in accordance with current guidelines, standards and specifications relating to the delivery of designs

With exciting new projects coming up with our Partner North Yorkshire Council and private sector clients, we are looking for a Technical Assistant to join us at Align Property Partners within our Highways team. You will play a vital role as we continue to expand and grow our portfolio.
As Technical Support Assistant you will provide accurate administrative and technical support, cross referencing official engineering drawings with official documents, making calls to tenants and relaying information between internal departments as well as other administrative duties.
Other duties will include checking contracts and similar documents, carrying out industry research and creating supporting documents for meetings and construction projects. You will monitor Highways schemes and proposals and report back to the wider team on any findings.

To support our continued growth, we have an opportunity for Principal Structural Engineer to join our multi discipline workforce at Align Property Partners. The role will be based at our Northallerton office or another one of our offices in Otley, Durham, Kendal or Cockermouth.
As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead project delivery and oversee schemes working collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure they are cost and time efficient. You will use your significant engineering experience in your day-to-day workload as well as continuing and developing projects, and you will oversee designs from feasibility to completion whilst monitoring resources and finances. You will demonstrate initiative and leadership skills to positively inspire a successful team, who have a record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets and who have the passion and determination to improve their service continually.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:
- Be a Chartered Engineer
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent with a substantial amount of understanding and broad post-qualification experience at a senior level within an engineering design consultancy
- Ideally have completed or working towards being a Chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or the Institution of Civil Engineers
- Experience of managing project delivery and providing team support within an engineering consultancy
- Working knowledge of relevant UK standards, Eurocodes, relevant design guidance documentation and Building Regulations
- Skilled in coordinating detailed designs and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer or similar software packages
- Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with clients and external consultants
- Proficient in carrying out Structural surveys and reports
- Competent in the conceptual and detailed design of structural engineering projects, including new build projects, renovations of existing structures and extensive survey schemes with all forms of structural materials
- IT literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- An understanding and appreciation for project programmes and budget constraints

As Senior Structural Engineer you will be an integral part of a very busy and professional team who have a record of consistently meeting and exceeding their targets and who have the passion and determination to improve their service continually.
From your previous significant structural engineering experience and knowledge of UK Standards, you will be able to deliver all structural requirements of projects from start to finish, producing designs from feasibility to completion and work within project timescales and finances. As a Senior Engineer you will interact with clients and contractors, attending design team meetings and resolving site-based issues in a timely manner. You will have responsibility for mentoring and supporting other members of the Structures team.
