“Be the best you can be and let your light shine”
Looking for an opportunity where you can teach in a picturesque school and be supported by the staff and local community?
Our School
Lythe CE VC Primary School is beautifully situated at the heart of its local community, surrounded by forest, moorland and the North Yorkshire coast.
We are lucky enough to possess our own minibus which gives us good access to our local area, allowing us to make good use of the resources on our doorstep, such as the library, sports centre, and further afield.
We have a clear ambition for everyone in the Lythe School family: our Vision is for our school community to flourish academically, physically and spiritually. We will shine as individuals and as a school family, going on to enhance the wider community and the lives of those around us.
The children of our school Ethos Group have worked to sum this up in a single, simple sentence that we use to guide and evaluate all our actions:
“Be the best you can be and let your light shine.”
Our Opportunity
Lythe Church of England VC Primary School is looking to appoint a wonderful teacher to join our team, could this be you?

  • Be a strong communicator, someone who is able to plan, organise and coordinate and who can inspire, support and develop the talents of pupils and colleagues to achieve the highest standards
  • Be ambitious – ready to absorb all of the new skills, lessons and experiences this role will provide you with
We can offer you
  • Tailored support from our Headteacher, your colleagues in school and from professional networking with the schools in our Yorkshire Coast Education Partnership
  • All of our teachers are members of the Chartered Institute of Teaching – we are ready to help boost your career development!
  • A warm, happy school where we value our community ethos and have a philosophy of treating each other with kindness and respect
  • Happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children who thrive in a safe, caring and inspiring environment
