Participant Information

The York and North Yorkshire LEAP Programme aims to give people who are economically inactive the opportunity to gain part time employment with a local employer. It aims to give people the chance find employment, get back into work after a period of not working, gain confidence and learn new skills.

What happens if I want to join?

When we receive your details, we will either email or phone you to arrange a convenient time to do an 'Introduction' meet with you, this might be over the phone or it might be might be a face to face meeting, if you prefer it to be face to face please let us know.

At the 'Introduction' meeting we will chat through the programme to ensure it is right for you. You will have a chance to ask questions. If you still want to go ahead we will take some details from you to help us find and match you to the right job. We will need your national insurance number at this stage. We will confirm when we will next be in touch, it is likely we will agree to contact you on a monthly basis until we find you a potentially suitable job.

If you decide at this stage that is it not for you, you don't have to continue.
