We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, serving 191 pupils, including those within our Governor-led Nursery and our Targeted Mainstream Provision, The Hive. Inclusion is one of our defining strengths and we are proud of the support we provide for children with additional needs. We are seeking a Headteacher who shares our belief that every child can succeed. We are looking for an inspiring and compassionate leader who will build on the strong foundations already in place while bringing the vision, energy and expertise to lead the school into its next chapter. You may be a current Headteacher or an Assistant or Deputy Headteacher looking to make the next step in your career.  The successful candidate will understand the importance of inclusive practice, have a strong commitment to improving outcomes for all pupils, and be able to unite staff, governors, parents and the wider community behind a shared ambition for excellence.

You will have a proven ability to lead school improvement, improve outcomes for all pupils and work collaboratively with staff, governors, parents and external partners. With excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you will unite our community behind a shared ambition for excellence while nurturing the warm, supportive culture that makes Alverton such a special place to learn and work.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach, demonstrating the resilience, financial awareness and determination needed to lead the school confidently through its next phase of development
